College Board

The College is operated by Â鶹´«Ã½¹Ù·½Èë¿Ú Christian College Limited (The Company) as a registered educational institution providing care and education to students from 3 years of age to the completion of their HSC. The Company is a ‘Company Limited by Guarantee’ under the Corporations Law Act 2001 (Cth) with Directors that are required to declare that they subscribe to and live consistently with The Company Statement of Faith. It has additional Company members that are required to be members of any Baptist Church. As its core enterprise, The Company operates The College, that comprises a K-12 School, a Long Day-Care Centre (the Early Learning Centre - ELC), an Out of School Hours Care Centre (OSHC), and an co-curricular course provider (the Seed Academy).

The Company is governed by a Board of Directors that meets every second month. The current members of the Board of Directors are:

HUGH THOMSON LLB
Hugh is a qualified lawyer admitted to the Supreme Court of NSW in 2003.
He was a senior lawyer in a national law firm specialising in commercial and corporate advisory before moving into the construction and engineering sector with several executive roles across Legal, Commercial and Operational functions. He is currently employed by NSW Government with responsibility for commercial leadership and oversight of >$10B of public expenditure.

Marcus is the Deputy Chair of the College Board. He is Pastor of Riverstone Baptist Church, the church that founded the College more than 30 years ago. He has 3 children that attend the college.

NATHAN BROWN
B. Hosp, MAICD, JP
Nathan is CEO of Christian Media & Arts Australia Limited (CMMA), a leader in bringing together Christian organisations in the media and arts. Previously, Nathan has held several directorships focused in digital fundraising services and training and has been guest speaker at a range of major Christian conferences. His career spans food, hospitality, healthcare, management, training and media with a focus on organisational development and leadership in both the for-profit and not-for-profit (NFP) sectors.

Graeme is a Chartered Accountant Fellow, Registered Tax Agent and Registered Company Auditor and Director and Secretary of Baptist Schools Australia Ltd, Director of Baptist Foundation of NSW Ltd and Director of BCS Foundation Pty Ltd. He was formerly the Chief Executive Officer of Baptist Financial Services Australia Ltd, a former Company Secretary of BaptistCare NSW & ACT, a former Director/Trustee of Christian Super and a former Director of Baptist Business College Ltd.

Brian is Principal of Mcsweeney CA, a specialised Chartered Accounting firm, a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, a Fellow CPA, a Fellow of the Taxation lnstitute of Australia and Chartered Tax Advisor. Has held positions on the Boards of Baptist Financial Services Australia Ltd, Baptist Insurance Management Ltd and committees of the Baptist Union of NSW, is a Trustee of BCS Foundation (BaptistCare) and holds positions on the Boards of BCS Foundation Ltd (BaptistCare), Merling Foundation Ltd, Morling Tinsley Bequest Ltd, Baptist Schools Australia Ltd and a number of Private Companies.

SUSAN WESTRAAD
PhD, Masters in Higher Education, Psychology (Honours), Higher Diploma of Education, Graduate Certificate of Executive Coaching
Susan is the Head of School of Education at Alphacrucis University College. She has held senior positions in Education leadership roles in organisations such as the General Motors Foundation, Uniting, The Australian College of Applied Professions and more recently Alphacrucis. She has published textbooks and been appointed to National Department of Education Curriculum writing committees. She has severed on standards generating bodies and worked as an advisor to ACSI.
